Fez and around
Web design in Sefrou, where cherries set the calendar
28 km from Fez, 823 metres up, where the plain meets the Middle Atlas. The orchards watered by the Aggaï river earned Sefrou the nickname “the garden of Morocco”. Farming, an old medina, and a festival UNESCO lists as intangible heritage. That’s the town.
Three days in June. And the rest of the year?
The Cherry Festival goes back to 1920. In 2012 UNESCO added it to its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Every June, three days of parades and contests take over the town, and searches for Sefrou shoot up. Then they fall back.
The businesses that benefit were already findable before June. The café with recent photos on Google Maps. The guesthouse that answers its messages. The grower already taking cherry orders online. That groundwork happens in March, not the night before the parade.
From orchard to customer, no middleman
Cherries, figs, olives. They grow well here, but a lot of the harvest leaves through intermediaries. A small online shop shifts the balance, because growers can take cherry pre-orders, sell olive oil or dried figs to customers in Fez, Rabat or abroad, and keep the margin themselves.
Our e-commerce sites for fresh produce follow the season. Stock opens and closes with the harvest, delivery stays within sensible zones, and cash on delivery is there for those who want it.
A medina with a story
The Aggaï runs straight through the medina. The mellah, the old Jewish quarter, gave Sefrou its nickname, “little Jerusalem”. Habbouna keeps the memory of Moulay Idriss II, El Kalaa looks down on the river, and the waterfall draws people all year, summer most of all.
For a guide, a guesthouse or a restaurant, that history sells. But only if it’s written down online, in the words visitors actually type. A proper page about your place and its neighbourhood, in English and French, does more than a Facebook page nobody has touched in two years.
Travellers interested in Morocco’s Jewish heritage may search for the mellah by name. A clear English page on visiting it, with directions and the cafés or guides nearby, answers them directly, and keeps doing so long after it goes up.
Mechanics and workshops at Bouderham
The Bouderham craft zone at Souk Tarcha was planned for about 140 units on 1.56 hectares. Mechanics, auto electrics, panel beating, painting, welding, joinery. Word of mouth keeps these trades going.
But a driver who breaks down outside Sefrou doesn’t ask around. He pulls out his phone. An accurate Google Business Profile, with the address, hours, phone number and a few photos of finished work, puts you in front of him at exactly that moment.
Sefrou is the capital of a province that also takes in Bhalil and Imouzzer Kandar. For the wider picture, see web design in Fez.

Frequently asked questions
My shop is inside the medina with no street number. Can Google still find me?
Yes. On your Google Business Profile we drop the pin on your actual door and mention a well-known landmark in the description. Customers just follow the walking directions.
Cherry season only lasts a few weeks. Is an online shop worth it?
Yes, with pre-orders. The site opens orders before the harvest, closes them when everything’s sold, and keeps your customer list for next year.
Do I need an English version in Sefrou?
If you host foreign visitors or sell abroad, yes. For a neighbourhood shop, Arabic and French are enough.
Do you work with businesses across Sefrou province?
Yes, and across the whole Fès-Meknès region. The office is in Meknes, and most of the work happens by phone and video call.
