Meknes and around
Web design in Meknes: websites that people in the city actually find
We’re in Meknes, at IMM Richel No. 17, Avenue des FAR. We build websites, online shops and Google Business profiles for companies here, in English, French and Arabic, each version written for the people who’ll read it. Then we keep an eye on what Google does with it.
In short
Tourak Digital Group builds websites, online shops and Google Business Profiles for businesses in Meknes, from the medina and Hamria out to Agropolis. We write in French, Arabic and English, because one Meknes business can serve residents, SIAM visitors, students and tourists in the same week. The office is at IMM Richel No. 17, Avenue des FAR, Meknes. Every project starts with a look at what Google already shows about you, then a free written quote. Why Meknes is a market of its own
551,503 people in the municipality at the 2024 census. Add Ouislane, Toulal and Al Machouar-Stinia and the urban area passes 695,000. Three things keep the city going, and each one creates a different kind of online demand.
Farming and food. The Saïss plain and the Zerhoun hills make this one of Morocco’s big farming regions, olives above all. Every spring the International Agriculture Show of Morocco (SIAM) comes to Meknes and draws more than a million visitors. On the El Hajeb road, the Agropolis park puts food processors, logistics firms and service companies together on 140 hectares.
Heritage. Moulay Ismail made Meknes his capital in 1672, and the historic city has been on the UNESCO list since 1996. Bab Mansour, El Hedim square, Heri es-Souani. People come to see them and then need somewhere to sleep, eat and shop. Volubilis and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun are about thirty kilometres away.
Students. Moulay Ismail University (1989), ENSAM (1997), and the National School of Agriculture, founded in 1942. Every autumn, students from other regions arrive and look up everything on their phones, from a room to rent to a gym.
So one shop in Meknes can serve a neighbour, a trade-show visitor, a student from the south and a couple of tourists from Belgium. A site in one language leaves some of them out, and an English version reaches buyers and travellers that French-only sites never see.
What the search results get wrong
Search « création site web Meknès » today. The top of the page is mostly directories. Names, phone numbers. Nothing about method, local SEO or the neighbourhoods.
If you’re a business owner trying to choose, that tells you very little. Nothing about Arabic-language search, nothing about Google Maps, nothing about how a riad in the medina differs from a clinic in Hamria. So here it is, what we do, who for, and how we measure it.
Who we work with in Meknes
Exporters and Agropolis companies, first. A buyer in Madrid or Rotterdam won’t visit your plant without seeing your website. Product sheets, certifications, capacity and a direct contact, in English, are what make the first call happen.
- Riads and guesthouses. Booking platforms take a commission on every night, and your own site, with real photos and a booking form, wins back returning guests.
- Craftspeople. Damascening, silver thread inlaid into iron, is a Meknes speciality, and a small online shop lets a workshop sell to visitors once they’re home.
- Clinics, schools and training centres, where patients and parents compare online before calling. We publish the practical details within each profession’s rules.
- Companies moving into the area. The new Ouislane industrial zone has 199 plots on 65 hectares, and firms setting up there need a credible site from day one.
Neighbourhoods and business districts
Meknes sits on both sides of the Oued Boufekrane valley. The medina and the imperial city on one bank. Hamria, the twentieth-century new town, on the other. A “near me” search doesn’t return the same results on both sides, so your site and your Google profile have to say exactly where you are.
- Hamria (Ville Nouvelle). Shopping streets, cafés, agencies, practices. Competition here is a matter of two blocks.
- Medina, Mellah and Kobbat Souk, with the bazaars, workshops and riads.
- Marjane, Bassatine, Zitoune, where people look for a doctor, a school or a caterer close to home.
- In Sidi Bouzekri, Bab Bouamaïr, Sidi Baba or Borj Moulay Omar, recommendations now travel by WhatsApp and Google Maps.
- El Menzeh and Plaisance, which we target street by street when your customers live there.
- Agropolis. Professional buyers, many from outside Meknes, some from outside Morocco.
The towns around have their own pages. Ouislane, Toulal, Boufakrane, El Hajeb and Ain Taoujdate.
What we do for Meknes businesses
- Website design. Fast sites, checked on phones first, with your own photos and your own words.
- E-commerce for selling in Meknes, across Morocco or to the diaspora, with cash on delivery or online payment.
- SEO with keywords by district and language, service pages and rank tracking.
- Google Business profile: set-up or clean-up, then categories, hours, photos and review replies.
- Mobile apps, when customers come back often.
- Digital marketing limited to Meknes and the towns nearby, not the whole country.
The group also works from Troyes, in France. For a Meknes company selling into Europe, that helps. We know both markets and how people search in each.
How a project runs
You call +212 7 70 41 56 37 or +212 7 88 09 29 51, or you come to the office on Avenue des FAR. We talk about your customers. Technology can wait.
Then we look at what Google already shows about you. An old profile, reviews, a directory listing with a number nobody answers anymore. And what the competitors in your area are doing.
Keywords are done language by language, because people in Meknes don’t type the same words in Arabic, French and English. Every page is written for your business. No copied text. No pages where only the town name changes.
Before launch we test on phones, check speed, forms and maps. After launch we follow Search Console, rankings, calls and enquiries, so you can see what’s moving.
Nothing starts without a written quote that sets out scope, timeline and price. To get in touch, use the contact page.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with foreign companies setting up in Meknes?
Yes. We work in English with your head office and in French or Arabic with your local team, and we write the site so your international buyers and your Moroccan customers both understand it.
Which languages should my website use?
Your customers’ languages. Arabic and French for a neighbourhood business. Add English for a riad. For an exporter, often English first. Each version is written separately, with its own keywords.
How long does it take to show up on Google in Meknes?
A complete Google Business profile can appear on Maps soon after verification. A website climbs over several months. We don’t promise the top spot. We show you every month what has moved.
Can I meet you in Meknes?
Yes, at IMM Richel No. 17, Avenue des FAR. Call ahead on +212 7 70 41 56 37 or +212 7 88 09 29 51.
Do you cover the towns around Meknes?
Yes. Ouislane, Toulal, Boufakrane, El Hajeb, Ain Taoujdate and Moulay Idriss Zerhoun each have their own page, because people there don’t search the way they do in the city centre.
How much does a website cost?
The price goes in a free written quote, no obligation, after a first conversation. It depends on the number of pages, the languages, and features like a shop, bookings or a customer area.
