Industrial packaging

JIL PACK: website for a packaging supplier in Casablanca

A canning plant buyer in Agadir isn’t looking for a pretty website. He wants the right tin, in the right size, in stock. JIL PACK asked us for a site that speaks to that buyer, in his language.

The company

JIL PACK sources, stocks and delivers containers for Moroccan manufacturers: food cans, metal pails and drums, glass jars, plastic packaging. Its customers are canneries, olive oil mills and chemical producers.

Why a website for B2B

Many Moroccan suppliers rely on a Facebook page or a catalogue sent over WhatsApp. A buyer comparing suppliers, or a foreign group looking for a local partner, needs more: product ranges, materials explained, a catalogue to download, a contact. Three languages were required, French for most buyers, Arabic for some customers and staff, English for export.

What we put in place

  • A company page with a word from management and a timeline.
  • Products in three families: metal, glass, plastic.
  • PDF catalogues on request from the page.
  • A blog, for example on choosing between glass, metal and plastic.
  • A quote form and phone number on every page.

The three versions are linked with hreflang tags; Arabic reads right to left.

What it changes

A purchasing manager at an oil mill near Meknes finds the right drum in two clicks. A European importer reads the English page and sees ten years of track record. A JIL PACK salesperson sends one link instead of ten photos.

The tech side

PHP, hosted at O2Switch. The old address on a tourakdigital.ma subdomain now redirects to the company’s own domain. Industrial business in Meknes or Fes? See website design.
