Most language apps have you tapping pictures for months without ever explaining the rule, and they stop the moment the signal drops. Parlo does the opposite on both counts.

Parlo is a free, ad-free Android app by Tourak Digital Group for learning English, Spanish and German from French. Written lessons, thousands of exercises, spoken practice with feedback, eight games and a placement test. Once the content pack is downloaded, everything works offline. It installs from the website, outside the Play Store.

Why we built it
French speakers in Morocco and France want English for work, Spanish for travel, German for study. Well-known apps get expensive, show ads and assume a constant connection. On a coach between Meknes and Errachidia, or on a small data plan, that falls apart. We also wanted an app that explains: adults learning a language need to know why, not just tap pictures.
What it does
- Lessons, not just drills: each unit opens with a written explanation in French, including the traps French speakers fall into.
- Speaking: text-to-speech reads, speech recognition listens, the app tells you what went wrong.
- Real offline mode after one pack download.
- Eight games and a placement test.
Being upfront
The site explains where speech recognition runs, why the app isn’t on the Play Store, and how to allow the install once. There is a universal download and lighter builds for older phones and tablets.
