News from a village of 300 people doesn’t interest national media. It matters a lot to those 300 people. AubeActu starts there: every town in the Aube gets its own page, alerts and events.

In short
Tourak Digital Group built AubeActu, a free local news site for the Aube department and Troyes, France, with no subscription. News is organised by section and by town, with events and flea markets, and anyone can send a tip to the newsroom. An Android app with no ads and no trackers sends alerts for the towns you choose.

An app without the bad habits
No account, no ads, no third-party push service, no Google Maps, no ad trackers. Pick your towns and get official alerts and new articles by notification, adjustable by type. Articles you’ve read stay available offline. The download page publishes the file’s fingerprint so you can check the install.
For readers and editors
A resident gets an alert when their town posts a notice. An association sends its flea market date in three screens. A human reads every submission. The newsroom has its dashboard, review queue and drafts inside the app.
