Building a website
Should my website in Morocco be in French, Arabic or English?
Morocco is a multilingual market, and people search in more than one language, sometimes in the same afternoon.
The short answer
Pick the languages your customers actually search in. Local businesses usually need French and Arabic; tourism, export and international clients add English. Write each version for its reader instead of machine-translating. Tourak Digital Group builds sites in all three, with one web address per language so Google shows the right one.
Who searches in what
A lot of business searches in Morocco happen in French. A growing share are in Arabic, and some in Darija typed with Latin letters. Tourists and expats search in English. A riad in Fes and a hardware store in Meknes do not need the same mix.
Do not auto-translate
Readers spot a machine translation in a sentence, and they stop trusting the page. We write each version for its reader. The English page can be shorter and more practical than the French one, and that is fine.
How it is built
One address per language on the same site, linked to each other so Google sends each visitor to the right version. The Arabic version runs right to left, with its own layout checks.
