Building a website

How much does a website cost in Morocco?

People usually ask this in their first WhatsApp message. The honest answer is that it depends on what the site has to do. Here is what it depends on.

The short answer

There is no single price: a five-page site for a guesthouse and a shop with two hundred products are different jobs. Cost depends on the number of pages and languages, online selling, and who writes the text. Tourak Digital Group in Meknes gives a free, itemised quote.

Why nobody can quote you on the phone

A tour guide who needs his trips, a contact form and a WhatsApp button is a small job. A cooperative shipping olive oil across Morocco needs a catalogue, a cart, delivery rates per city and order tracking. Giving both the same price would be wrong for one of them.

What pushes the price up

  • Languages. English plus French plus Arabic is three versions to write and test. Arabic reads right to left, so the whole layout flips.
  • Selling online. Card payments through your bank and CMI, cash on delivery, stock. Each part takes work and testing.
  • Copy. If you send us the text, the quote drops. If we write it, we spend time learning your business.
  • Bookings, member areas, custom forms.

What you keep paying for

The domain and hosting renew every year. Updates and backups need someone. We list all of this separately in the quote so year two holds no surprises.

One warning. If a cheap offer does not say whose name the domain is registered in, ask before you pay.

See website design and online stores, or ask for a quote on the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay from abroad?

Yes. We invoice and you pay by bank transfer; the details are set out in the quote.

Does asking for a quote commit me to anything?

No. You get it, compare it, and decide.
