The agency, quotes, timelines
Who owns my website and domain once it is built?
This question usually comes up too late, when you want to switch agencies or the site goes down. Ask it before.
The short answer
You should. The domain, hosting account, content you paid for and admin logins should be in your name, written into the quote or contract. At Tourak Digital Group the domain is registered to the client from day one and all logins are handed over at delivery.
What should be in your name
- The domain, with your own email address.
- The hosting account, or at least a backup you hold.
- The text and photos you paid for.
- The admin logins.
If a former provider holds them
Ask them to transfer the domain. If they do not answer, registrars have procedures for proving you are the rightful owner. It takes time, and we can help.
How we work
Domain in your name from day one. Logins at delivery. If you leave in two years, you leave with everything. That is not generosity, it is yours.

Frequently asked questions
Is the design mine too?
It is set out in the contract. With us, the site you paid for is yours.
Can you take over a site built by someone else?
Yes, after a quick audit, as long as you can get the domain and hosting logins.
