Ifrane and the Middle Atlas

Web design in Ain Leuh

A rural commune in Ifrane province, at 1,300 metres, south-west of Azrou. Forest covers more than half of its 37,202 hectares, and a lot of it is cedar. Nobody here needs a huge website. They need the right one.

Market days and seasons

Souk day is Wednesday. Since 2009 the cherry orchards have had their own yearly gathering. And every summer the National Ahidous Festival, founded in 2000, brings in troupes performing this Amazigh art of dancing and singing together.

In a commune this size, the web does three jobs. It shows you exist, it says when you’re open, and it lets people order or book without making the drive. The rest can wait. Three well-written pages that load fast on a phone beat thirty pages nobody ever touches again.

Give the festival a real page

Post the programme only as an image on Facebook and you lose people. Google reads posters badly.

A web page with the dates, the programme, directions from Azrou and places to stay nearby keeps getting found months later. Journalists use it when they write their piece, and troupes use it when they want to take part next year. It can sit on an existing site or be a small site of its own, in Arabic and French, with the title in Tifinagh if you like.

Once the line-up is confirmed, list the troupes with a sentence on where each one comes from. People search their names too, and every one of those searches can lead back to you.

Cooperatives and forest produce

Cherries, livestock products, crafts. If your cooperative sells mostly on site, an online catalogue with orders by phone or form is enough to begin. When orders start coming from Fez, Meknes or further, we move up to a proper online shop with payment and tracking.

Tell people where it comes from. A cherry from Ain Leuh isn’t just any cherry, and whoever pays more for it wants to know why.

The forest sells itself, if you describe it

More than 21,700 hectares of forest inside the commune. Plenty for hikers and anyone who likes being outdoors, as long as someone tells them where to go. The guesthouse, guide or rental owner who describes routes with photos, timings and difficulty stands out from the ones who write “beautiful nature” and leave it there. Our digital marketing team can then put those pages in front of the right people.

Be straight about the seasons. Snow in winter. Mud in spring. Cherries in June. Walkers plan around that, and a page that tells them the truth earns their trust.

Nearby are Azrou, Ifrane and Timahdite.

Frequently asked questions

Our cooperative has a small budget. Where do we start?

A Google Business Profile. Then one page with your products and a contact. We add features when orders justify it, not before.

Can the site include Amazigh?

Yes, for titles, names and chosen passages, in Tifinagh or Latin script. But to be found on Google we keep Arabic and French too, because that’s how your buyers search.

We have no photographer. Will phone photos do?

Yes, if they’re sharp, shot in daylight, and show the real product, the real workshop, the real countryside. We send a few tips first. A true photo beats a stock image.

The festival dates change every year. Do we need a new page?

No. Keep the same address and update the programme. A page with several editions behind it counts for more on Google than a fresh one every year.

See our work before you pay anything

Three ways to judge us on real work: an audit of your search visibility, a mock-up of your future website, or a security check of the site you already have. Free, and you owe us nothing afterwards.
